Job Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Apprenticeship State Expansion (ASE) Grant Administrator and Vice President for Apprenticeship Carolina™, the Administrative Coordinator will be responsible for providing programmatic, fiscal and administrative support to the ASE grant project team. Maintains all fiscal and programmatic documents and electronic records for the ASE grant on behalf of companies and technical colleges, including the compilation of electronic records and documents. Collects, compiles and monitors all ASE grant data in the designated Grants Management System. Works in collaboration with the South Carolina Technical College System (SCTCS) staff, Technical College staff, and community stakeholders to collect necessary and required information. Assists the Grant Administrator in performing on-site and desktop monitoring of grant fund recipients. Assists the Grant Administrator in ensuring grant funded recipients are compliant throughout the life cycle of the grant.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

A bachelor's degree in a related field and two (2) years relevant experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services; or associate's degree and four (4) years relevant experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledgeable of institutional guidelines and state and local policies related to all aspects of the position. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing with all levels of staff and management. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to effectively plan and organize multiple priorities and tasks with prescribed schedules and goals. Attention to detail in carrying out roles and responsibilities.
