Description of Work

This Office of State Human Resources Recruiting Consultant collaborates with UNC-Chapel Hill to help this top University find recruiting solutions and celebrate successes. UNC-Chapel Hill provides a workspace on campus. Collaborates with other employment staff members, providing research, guidance and solutions for challenging recruitment and staffing situations.  Meet virtually with other State Agency and University Recruiting Professionals for inspiration and sharing of creative and effective recruiting ideas.  

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies

Must have these demonstrated knowledge/skills:

  • jumping tall buildings while maintaining safety of self and others
  • using humor/laughter or other natural means for relieving stress
  • analyzing & interpreting information from multiple, sometimes conflicting sources
  • using spell-check
  • presenting technical information to audiences composed of a mixture of participants, not all of whom are technically  inclined
  • MS Office
Flexibility and ability to work on multiple tasks are also essential to doing this work well in the time frame required..   Competitively qualified applicants will have Human Resources consulting experience in  the area of Talent Management or Recruiting and Staffing.
 

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Graduation from a four-year college or university and three years of professional experience in personnel administration in one or more human resource functional areas or in an administrative capacity involving the application and interpretation of personnel laws and policies as they relate to (fill in area) issues, and the application and interpretation of policies and procedures in human resources or other program settings; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
