Job Description
The incumbent in this job manages the development and implementation of the DHRM field training program, which includes training and development strategies intended to decrease liability and expand the capacity of the state's supervisors to lead staff, manage performance, and engage the state's workforce. The incumbent conducts needs assessments, consults with DHRM and customer-agency leaders, and designs, oversees, and delivers on-ground, virtual, and blended learning programs.

- Delivers presentations, stand up training, or instruction to staff, management, clients, or the general public.
- Evaluates all aspects of research projects, project findings, and operational data regarding technical merits and implications.
- Presents findings to management, various public officials, or senior professionals.
- Monitors and evaluates operations, programs, processes and/or practices for quality and effectiveness; makes recommendations for improvement.
- Develops and coordinates plans and policies, resources, and mission as well as goals, vision, and expectations of agency or program; prepares and updates plans and priorities.
- Acts as a resource to provide information or determine the most effective way of meeting the needs of management, staff, clients or customers.
- Consults with managers, executives, and employees to identify problems, develop improvements, create and maintain quality standards.
- Organizes or participates in employee quality and/or productivity improvement work groups.
- Provides consultation, makes recommendations, gives appropriate advice, and/or facilitates decisions.
- Other tasks as assigned

Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform the work; however, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying light items; driving an automobile, etc. Special physical demands are not required to perform the work.

Risks found in the typical office setting, which is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated, e.g. safe use of office equipment, avoiding trips and falls, observing fire regulations, etc.
