Description
Duties
We are looking for one or more seasoned HR professionals with the experience and background that would enable you to pick up the workload of the former incumbents and make it look seamless to the client. These positions will provide expert level consulting for all aspects of human resources (classification, compensation, recruitment, labor relations, performance management, investigations, discipline, etc.). As part of the HR team, the incumbents will consult and coordinate with staff on issues related to personnel matters, policies, procedures, rules, and labor contracts to ensure consistent application. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Researching and providing interpretation and advice regarding Collective Bargaining Agreements, WACs, other state and federal rules and laws and policies and procedures;
- Explaining and facilitating reasonable accommodation;
- Reviewing, consulting and approving reallocation or allocation requests and other position actions;
- Consulting, advising, reviewing and approving personnel actions;
- Representing the agency in hearings and meetings, including employee grievances, disciplinary, Personnel Resources Board and unemployment compensation;
- Conducting and coordinating investigations;
- Drafting pre-disciplinary and disciplinary letters and providing associated documentation;
- Maintaining highly confidential personnel and medical information;
- Providing recruiting assistance to DES managers and supervisors; and,
- Developing training materials and presenting training on HR information and issues to a wide variety of audiences.
