THE POSITION
- This is complex clerical work of more than average difficulty which may include supervisory or responsible independent work.Employees in this class may supervise the work of a small to moderate sized staff engaged in varied clerical duties of a complex nature or may perform independent work of a comparable level of difficulty. Employees in this class normally participate in the more difficult phases of the work area requiring the application of more varied and involved procedures and the more frequent use of independent judgment in solving work problems. Situations concerning important departures from standard practices and procedures are referred to a superior for final decision.Work may involve contact with other employees or the general public in which decisions are made, complex regulations explained, or technical information obtained. The variety and difficulty of the work differ among positions; but where the work is repetitive, there is added responsibility for finality of action. Work is reviewed through direct observation, review of records, and results achieved.
THE REQUIREMENTS
- 1. Have successfully graduated from a standard high school or possess an acceptable G.E.D. certificate from a recognized issuing agency.2. Have at least three (3) years progressively responsible clerical experience preferably including supervisory responsibility and some experience in data processing input/output methods.
