Housing Accountant

Under general supervision, performs difficult and complex professional assignments where methods and procedures are independently determined. May train, review and supervise the work of lower level staff.

Education and training equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in Accounting or related field and two years progressively responsible professional experience in accounting, budgeting, financial analysis or auditing. KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the customary conventions used when preparing or reviewing budgets, fiscal records and reports. Ability to analyze and resolve financial and cost accounting problems; audit accounts and/or operations.
