Under supervision, to perform secretarial work of considerable e general office management for one or more managers.

• Screens office and telephone callers, meets the public, makes appointments, and arranges conferences and speaking engagements;
• Directs callers to other departments and officials or to other individuals, divisions or sections of the department where assigned;
• Independently composes routine letters and other documents from notes or oral directions;
• Relieves the manager of routine administrative details;
• Takes minutes at meetings and prepares summary for distribution;
• Maintains office files and records, including those of a confidential nature;
• May lead subordinate office staff, including training, reviewing, and coordinating assignments;
• Maintains the calendar of the manager;
• Maintains record-retention plan;
• Makes travel arrangements;
• Purchases small items within established guidelines;
• Performs other related duties as required.
