Nature and Variety of Work
Under the direction of the Director of Family Division, this role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, management, and supervision of the Family Division, including special projects and initiatives that support the Family Division. This position also provides support to other administrative operational units and assists the Director with leading various juvenile and domestic initiatives.
Examples of Work
- Assists with managing the Family Coordinating Judge's Dockets and the approved differentiated case management plan;
- Assisting the Director with coordination of various work; ensuring efficient and timely handling of domestic family law cases;
- Collaborating with the Family Justice Center, Office of Problem Solving Courts, non-governmental and governmental agencies, and other stakeholders as it relates to juvenile and domestic Family Law matters;
- Providing leadership and guidance to professional and paraprofessional staff by managing approximately 25,000+ juvenile and domestic family law cases;
- Assisting the Director with the development and management of the departmental budgets; coordinating the preparation of reports requested by higher authorities in support of the grant programs.
- Representing the division at meetings with internal/external stakeholders; and
- Willingly and cooperatively performs tasks and duties which may not be specifically listed in the class specification or position description, but which are within the general occupational category and responsibility level typically associated with the employee's classification of work.
Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in business or public administration, social services, sociology, psychology, or other field(s), plus three (3) years of progressively responsible professional technical, analytical and developmental work experience with at least one (1) year in a lead/supervisory role; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
