TYPE OF SUPERVISION GIVEN TO OTHERS

 

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Assists with Campus Services functions including incoming and outgoing shipments (i.e. mail, merchandise, packages, etc),printing, and pool vehicles as well as appropriate documentation and record keeping.

 

Description of All Duties

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

a.       Assists with preparation of outgoing mail using proper equipment.

b.       Assists with distribution of all incoming and internal mail.

c.        Assists with operation of all postage and copy machines in Campus Services.

d.       Assists with pool vehicle scheduling and vehicle check-out procedures.

e.        Assists with shipment and receipt of parcels as needed. Ensures accuracy of quantity and products.

f.        Assists with affixing inventory of fixed asset barcode tags to all incoming capital equipment as needed.

g.        Maintains confidentiality of mail and print materials.

h.       Records necessary information for black and white and color print jobs, mail services, pool vehicles, supplies, and receiving   documentation.

i.         Follows all safety features on equipment.

j.         Assists with all post-press operation functions.

k.       Assists with mail routes, including intercampus and external courier routes and shipping and receiving functions as needed.

l.         Keeps a clean and neat work area.

m.     Bails cardboard and maintains equipment.

n.       Follows all asset protection policies.

o.       Performs Pool Travel Fleet vehicle inspections, maintenance, and cleanings.

p.       Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

 

Education & Experience

 EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

a.       High school diploma or GED required.

b.       Must have good communication skills.

c.        Must be detail oriented and accurate with work.

d.       Must be dependable.

e.        Data entry skills.

f.        Ability to read and write English.

g.        Ability to follow policies and procedures.

h.       Ability to operate all departmental equipment.

i.         Ability to lift weights of up to 60pounds on a regular basis required.

j.         Customer service skills required.

k.       Valid driver’s license required.

OVERALL ACCOUNTABILITIES: The Campus Services Clerk is accountable for performing all of the above listed duties in a professional, friendly, accurate, and efficient manner.

 

PRINCIPAL WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

a.       Works directly with Director of Auxiliary Services, Lead Campus Services Specialist, and other part-time help to ensure an efficient and effective operation. Takes direction from Lead Campus Services Specialist on assigned and routine work.

b.       Works closely with the Director of Marketing, East Campus Services staff, and Facilities staff.

c.        Works with faculty and staff in an effort to monitor timely delivery of all services within the guidelines of the Campus Service Department.
