Job Responsibilities

THIS IS A POSTING FOR DISTRICT #6 WHICH INCLUDES BEAUFORT, BERKLEY, CHARLESTON, COLLETON, DORCHESTER AND JASPER COUNTIES.

UNDER DIRECT SUPERVISION, PERFORMS SEMI-SKILLED WORK OPERATING CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE EQUIPMENT ON ROADWAYS. ENSURES SOUTH CAROLINA VEHICLE AND TRAFFIC LAWS ARE OBEYED. FOLLOWS ORAL AND WRITTEN INSTRUCTIONS. PERFORMS RELATED DUTIES AS REQUIRED.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

A TENTH (10TH) GRADE EDUCATION; OR AN APPROVED ACCEPTABLE EQUIVALENCE IN ACCORDANCE WITH STATE HUMAN RESOURCES REGULATIONS.

A VALID CLASS "B" COMMERCIAL DRIVER'S LICENSE (CDL) WITHIN SIX (6) MONTHS OF PLACEMENT IN THE POSITION.
